Hey, Are You Okay?

Suicide is a spirit.

So is depression, oppression, homicide, despondency, regret, guilt, shame, condemnation... none of this is from God.

Jesus tells us, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." (John 10:10 KJV)

Whether it comes in the form of a thought, picture, or feeling, do not entertain these demonic spirits.

1 Corinthians 15:57 (NLT), "But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ."

2 Corinthians 10:5 (KJV) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

James 4:7 (KJV) Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

James 4:8 (NKJV) Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

If these spirits come to you, do not entertain them and do not come into agreement with them. They're looking for a home, but don't open the door to them. They are not from God.

This is a difficult time of the year for many people. Not only do we have fewer daylight hours, we're also inundated with nonstop marketing to entice us to go into debt. For some it's festive, for others it's lonely.

I pray the Lord would awaken you to the truth of His Word on this matter, and that you would be surrounded by His peaceful and loving presence. When you recover yourself, stand in the gap for others.

Check on your friends and loved ones.
