JANUARY Theme: New year, new you! Read a book about personal growth or wisdom. Or read about the Shmita New Year 5782, the importance of rest, debt forgiveness, or Jubilee.
FEBRUARY Theme: Cultural Awareness/History. Read a book to discover influence and impact of other cultures. Or read a book that fosters relationship growth.
MARCH Theme: In honor of St. Patrick, read a book about missions or evangelism. Or read a book about Esther and Purim (March 16-17).
APRIL Theme: In honor of Easter and Resurrection Sunday (April 17), read a book on Jesus’ death or resurrection. Or read a book about communion, covenant or Passover (April 15-23).
MAY Theme: National Day of Prayer. Read a book about prayer or fasting.
JUNE Theme: Soldier's Heart/PTSD Awareness. Read a book about PTSD, healing from trauma, or PTG. Or read a book about any of the Ten Commandments mentioned in Exodus 20 or Deut. 5 (Shavuot June 4-6).
JULY Theme: Patriotism. Read a book about the patriarchs of Christian faith or the Kingdom of God. Or read a book on ministering through grief and mourning Tisha B’Av (July 17-Aug 7).
AUGUST Theme: Back to School. Read a book about discipleship or church growth. Or read a book about love, rebirth, or Tu B’Av (August 15).
SEPTEMBER Theme: Labor Day. Read a book that will help you be a better parent or worker. Or read a book about the Jewish New Year Rosh Hashanah mentioned in Leviticus 23:24-25 (Sept 25-28).
OCTOBER Theme: Safety and awareness. Read a book on spiritual warfare or deliverance ministry. Or read a book about forgiveness, sanctification, the Day of Atonement mentioned in Leviticus 23 (Yom Kippur Oct 4-5), or unity and Sukkot (Oct 9-16).
NOVEMBER Theme: Thanks-living. Read a book on thankfulness or a fruit of the spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).
DECEMBER Theme: In honor of Christmas, read a book about miracles, love, or the gifts of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12). Or read about rededication, intercessory prayer, or Hanukkah (Dec 18-26).
